Universal Energy

I had a chance to sit in a rocking chair near the seashore today. I leaned back and closed my eyes. I felt the sun’s warmth on my face even though it was a cold December day.  I heard the constant sound of the wind and waves as the water came up to the shoreline.   For just a moment, I didn’t care about the past or the future.  All my worries and responsibilities were put to the side.  I even stopped worrying about being cold or being outside in the elements. Instead, I just relaxed all the muscles in my body, and I just let myself be.

Only a few minutes before I was telling my family about Jung’s collective unconscious and how our minds are all linked together to something bigger. We all experience some things similar because we all are linked somehow.  It is like I am always writing: My path might be unique, but we are all walking our unique paths together.

Today as I sat in that rocking chair, with my eyes closed for just a second, I would like to believe I tapped into that universal energy that connects us all. I’d like to believe that for a moment, I did what I am always saying I need to do: I put my life in God’s hands, and I listened to nature.  For just a moment, I experienced a beautiful miraculous moment of peace.

My faith saved me.  May God’s peace reside in each of our hearts.
