I took a family member who was sick to a doctor’s office to be seen by a doctor. No good deed goes unpunished because while I was there, I caught a virus. I have congestion, nasal drainage, and a very sore throat. It probably is just a common cold. I did a telemed appointment with a doctor today and that was the diagnosis, but in the time of Covid, the doctor told me that I need to be safe and stay away from other people for a few days and maybe get myself tested.
After all this time, I have been trying to stay safe, I got vaccinated, I wear a mask whenever I leave the house, I do everything I can to protect myself from Covid and yet it still may not be enough.
The truth is I never really could protect myself from the virus. It wasn’t really something that I could control. All I could ever do was try my best to stay safe and leave the rest up to God. And now that I have this cold virus, it is the same situation, I can still continue to do the same to stay safe and healthy, but there’s very little I can control, so I just pray and ask God to be with me. I hope that everything with be okay and I pray that God will give me strength if the worse happens.
My faith saved me. May God’s peace reside in all of our hearts.
