Today I spent the day working on submitting my writing to different publications. I found myself on a very difficult road because lots of literary works don’t really fit my style of writing. I don’t want to play with prose and write something that I find difficult to read, I want to write something that I would enjoy reading myself. So, when I began to submit my work, I found myself trying to find where I belonged.
About halfway through the day, I began to feel a little defeated thinking that maybe I was too old or too weird to find where I belonged. However, I kept having faith in myself and I will continue to have faith in myself. I know that somewhere there are people who will want to share the ideas that I have and I will eventually find them. After all, I write because of God’s message: We are not alone.
For me, that’s enough to keep me going. Today, I wrote about how I love writing about urban legends because they speak about the possibility that the paranormal could be a reality. Possibilities are amazing things. As long as they exist, then anything can happen. Having faith means knowing that God is full of possibilities. Miracles can happen. Dreams can come true. And most importantly with the power of God nothing is impossible.
My faith saved me. May God’s peace reside in all of our hearts.
