I’m having a difficult time listening to any news right now. The things I hear coming out of all politicians’ mouths really scare me. I once asked in this blog if I had lived in the time of the rise of Hitler what would I have done? It feels like I don’t have to ask that question as a hypothetical anymore. Our leaders are more concerned with holding on to power than serving their people. It isn’t just in the United States. It isn’t just one political party or another. It seems to be something all over the world across nations and political affiliations.
I tend to believe that it has something to do with social media. I saw a TV commercial today. This commercial urged people to learn the facts about a current event in the world. It doesn’t really matter what the commercial was about, the point is that we’ve gotten to the point that there’s so much information out there that it is almost impossible to tell what’s truth and what’s fiction.
I don’t know exactly what I will need to do in the future, but for now, I know that it is difficult to recognize the truth. Faith guides me and the only true thing that I have ever been able to depend on is God. Even if all of this is an illusion or a computer simulation, it really doesn’t matter because as long as I believe in God, He is the light, the truth, and the way. No matter what happens, I know that if I let God guide me, then I will find what I need to do. At least, I hope so.
My faith saved me. May God’s peace reside in all of our hearts.
