A philosopher suggests that there’s an octave or tone that’s beyond our ability to hear that’s celestial. This music is heard only by the God and can only be heard when we die or if a person is able to disassociate themselves from the illusion of the material world, which is incredibly difficult. When I read about this idea, I didn’t want to believe it. Yet when I thought more about it, I realized it could be a possibility.
Our senses deceive us. Our eyes only show us a limited amount of colors from a limited amount of light waves. Scientists have shown there are so many more and have been able to show what they look like. They have also shown that our eyes only really see a small section of the visual field and our brain fills in the rest. We know that there are tons of smells that our noses don’t pick up on, but that dogs’ noses smell. There are lots of tastes that our tongues aren’t capable of tasting. There are many sense experiences in our world that our bodies are incapable of sensing.
If we are God’s children, then why would He put us in a world where we can’t experience everything? My answer is maybe we can. Why does God and Heaven have to be some place else? Why do we even have to think of it in terms of places at all?
Everything I experience or don’t experience could be an illusion. I don’t know if any of it matters or not. However, there’s one thing that I know for certain, there’s a God. It’s the one true thing I have to hold onto. So, maybe there are experiences that exist beyond our body’s ability. Maybe the spiritual and material worlds intersect in ways that I haven’t even conceived. It’s all in God’s plan.
My faith saved me. May God’s peace reside in all of our hearts.
