I heard something today. Yes, there’s evil in the world, but the greatest evil isn’t the evil that is people do, it is when we see evil being done, know we can do something about it, and just look away. It makes me think of the part of the Bible that say whatever you do to the least of my children you do unto me.
Essentially, it means that we should see the light of God in everyone. So, when we see someone suffering or someone in need, then we should recognize the light of God within them and want to help them as much as we would want to help God. Sometimes that it really difficult for me because I don’t see opportunities very often because I am not out in the world very much. I see those in need on TV, but I am removed from it.
I hope that when I see someone in need in front of me that I would help them. I hope that when I see anyone with my own eyes that I can see the light of God within them.
My faith saved me. May God’s peace reside in all of our hearts.
