Faith has taught me many things, but the most important lesson it has taught me is that when you open your heart to love, you find love. Today I was having a horrible day when everything seemed to be going wrong. I went to the grocery store, and I got into line to check out. The cashier helped me check out really fast and she even helped me to get all the bags into my cart. I took the time to tell her, “You know, I have been having one of worst days, but you made it better. Thank you.” She looked at me and gave me a hug because she wanted to make my day better.
You don’t have to solve all the world’s problems. You don’t have to control other people. All God asks is that you treat other people with love and when you do that, other people will want to treat you the same way. My experience today showed me that is true.
My faith saved me. May God’s peace reside in all of our hearts.
